The charitable foundation “Podari Zhisn” from Moscow organized an unforgettable four-day event for the children who survived cancer. It was a wonderful episode in the lives of these people. Children from 12 countries participated at the sports competitions “Games of the Winners”; they exchanged gifts, they shared interesting stories from their lives, they let each other know that the most difficult time of their lives is in the past, and they gave hope to those who are still battling cancer.

At the beginning of the week we had wonderful sunny weather and we were able to organize a trip to Ivano-Frankivsk. Thirty children from Dolyna orphanage "Teply Dim" went on the field trip. Recently, Ivano-Frankivsk celebrated its birthday, and all the streets were clean and decorated. The children visited museums, city hall, and an art festival. During the field trip the children had a lot of fun and got new expererinces that they could share with each other after returining to the orphanage.

At the beginning of April we realized the project “Dream to Move” through “Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace”. In a short period of time we became friends with the team of “Ukrainian Philantropic Marketplace”, and our common efforts have positive results. Thanks to our collaboration in the fundraising for Arina Zhuravska, we could pay in time for the girl’s outpatient treatment in the International Kozijavkin Clinic in Truskavets.

Michael Klapchuk has been fingting for his life for five months. Behind are four chemotherapy blocks and many critical moments: bad test results, high fever, stomatitis, and internal bleedings. Thanks to our Lord and all who help Michael on his way to recovery, doctors, donors, and all the people who made contributions, Michael continues to live, fight, and hope that we will overcome the disease. The last MRI showed that the tumor is treatable, and there is a positive trend, and all that makes doctors and Michael’s relatives happy.

Resurrection of Jesus Christ is a wonderful family holiday, and everybody is eagerly waiting for it to get together with family and to have a feast with Easter bread and eggs. During Easter holidays we reevaluate our intentions, desires, and deeds, and we try to act with love towards one another. We should never forget that not all children live with parents. Unfortunately, children from orphanages cannot have Easter feast with their families, but nonetheless they are waiting for Easter.

Wednesday, April 11 was a special day and it will stay in the memories of 20 children from Dolyna orphanage. These children had a field trip to ski resort “Bukovel”. “Bukovel” is one of the most beautiful places in the Carpathian region; both children and adults visit it with great pleasure because it is a place where everyone can have fun and breeze fresh Carpathian air. As soon as we arrived to Bukovel, we were greeted by professional instructors. They helped us to find the right equipment and helped us to divide the children in three groups. Instructors gave each group a skiing lesson.

April 12, the team of the charitable foundation “Ty Anhel” visited Ivano-Frankivsk shelter for children. The purpose of our visit was to wish the children Happy Easter and to give them a little bit of our souls and friendship. Everybody is busy, but some people donated the money and found the time to communicate with the children. The administration of the institution greeted us and let us meet the children. We chatted and joked, we talked about children’s dreams for the future and we played with huge balloons, we took pictures and we planned our next get together.
Easter Egg for a Friend

“Easter Egg for a Friend”, that is the name of the class that “Ty Anhel” organized right before Easter. Teens from recreational center “Prometheus” participated in the class. Everybody worked diligently on decorating the eggs because these eggs would be gifts to children from an orphanage. At the end of the week, all students together with teachers and volunteers from “Ty Anhel” will visit the orphanage “Teply Dim” and will wish the children there Happy Easter.

Art-therapy is one of the methods of positive psychological impact on children that are undergoing an intensive therapy. Classes of this kind take place every week in the department of nephrology and hematology where children with cancer undergo their treatment. We see positive impact of art-classes on the treatment and on the health of the children, and that is why we try to be responsible with art-therapy for children with serious health conditions. For each class we need various art supplies that are not cheap. If it were not for our friends and partners who constantly help us, art-therapy classes would be dull and irregular.
Arina Zhurakovska Is Waiting for Rehabilitation Sessions

In the second half of March, Arina was able to go through a two-week treatment at the rehabilitation center of the regional children’s hospital. The doctors prescribed physical therapy on her right extremities and on her back. Arina had consultations with a speech therapist, psychologist, ophthalmologist, and orthopedic specialist. The first three doctors did not see any pathology. The orthopedic surgeon noticed that Arina’s right arm is shorter in the shoulder and in the forearm by 1.5 cm.

Evelina has almost turned her five yet. The life story of this cute girl started in April 2016. Evelina is an early bird who came in life too early from her mother's tummy. The six-month-old baby of 870 mm weight and 35 cm height frightened the doctors of the maternity hospital. No one knew what would happen to the baby; whether would she cope with this and whether would she be able to live a full life in the future.
