From the early childhood Olexiy had many health problems. He constantly had colds and it was hard to recover from them. The doctors could not understand why it was happening and finally in 2005 he was diagnosed with Bruton’s Disease (low-to-nonexistent levels of immunoglobulins and severe deficiency of plasma). It is a rare health condition that only one in 250 000 boys has. This condition cannot be cured, and any, even the most insignificant, disease can be fatal. For the rest of his life, Olexiy needs a special immunoglobulin therapy and every month the boy needs to go to the hospital. Luckily, immunoglobulin therapy had good results. The boy began to grow rapidly, to do sports, and his mom believed that he could fully recover. Yet, the therapy had complications. In 2013 Olexiy was diagnosed with Hepatitis B and C that he contracted undergoing the therapy. For Olexiy these diseases are deadly.
