«Breath of spring» from the art-therapeutists of charitable foundation

This time children drew pictures “Breath of spring” on the art-therapy class, which traditionally is held in the Oncohematology Department. Different spring flowers, which are pleasant to eyes from under the snow, were in bright colours on the pieces of paper.

The boy hardly takes medicine or takes them with efforts. Though the boy doesn`t lose hope, it becomes harder to undergo treatment with each time, especially on a psychological level.

The fourth chemotherapy block lasted long, because it was very hard for Yuliia to endure it. She had nausea and loss of appetite. The level of her analyses sharply decreased. Her organism was cleansed with droppers the whole week, 24 hours a day. She had to take many additional medications.

Mykhailo Petrus finished the first chemotherapy protocol. The level of lab tests decreased after each block, the doctors had to infuse platelets and plasma. Maintenance therapy had a very bad influence on the boy`s state of health. Mykhailo has an allergy, short breath, pain in the legs, headache and stomachache. In addition, he is very irritated.

The award ceremony of the contest “Charitable Subcarpathia – 2015” will be held on 13th of March. We received 28 applications. Considering, the fact, that the competition in Ivano-Frankivsk was launched for the first time, it is quite good result. Most applications were submitted to the nomination “Charitable action” – 7 applications.
Presents for dear mothers

Art-therapy is a very useful and good thing for children. The art-therapy lesson was held on 8th of March, so the patients from the oncohematology department could have good time and make presents for mothers to greet them with International Women`s Day. A volunteer, Anzhelika Yarovata, helped our patients to create cards for their dearest moms.
Ivan Mykhailiv – the analyses showed distressful results

Ivan had a little rest at home after taking new chemotherapy block. His state of health was the norm, but the disease didn`t go away. He had a lymph node and mediastinal chest biopsies done. The result – lymph nodes enfold carotid artery. The signs of accumulation of FDC in the neck, above the clavicle, in the roots of both lungs and the splenic lymph node – the characteristics of malignancy.

CF “Ty-Anhel” received 52 668,76 UAH on the account last month, but spent 80 973,39 UAH. We spent 48 692,09 UAH on treatment of children from the Oncohematology Department. Additionally, our volunteers bought vital medication for Vasyl Mydlak, who was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis (the cost of medicine – 4 281,30 UAH).

Early cancer detection – the chance of recovery. A seminar “Let`s prevent the trouble!” was held in Ivano-Frankivsk within information campaign for detection of cancer among children. This seminar is traditional. CF “Ty-Anhel” has held it the third consecutive year.

Evelina has almost turned her five yet. The life story of this cute girl started in April 2016. Evelina is an early bird who came in life too early from her mother's tummy. The six-month-old baby of 870 mm weight and 35 cm height frightened the doctors of the maternity hospital. No one knew what would happen to the baby; whether would she cope with this and whether would she be able to live a full life in the future.
