Date of birth: September 19, 2005. Diagnosis: Cerebellum Medulloblastoma

The history of this child is not easy. Victoria fought brain cancer for 2 years, she has almost recovered, but the disease relapsed. The same procedures were again, but doctors said they had no effect. So the child starts all over again. But now she asks for our help.

In April 2014, Victoria fell off a bike. Since then, her difficult struggle began. After 2 weeks she had a severe headache and spinal pain, she was tired, it was difficult for her to walk and she was vomiting. Doctors from the district hospital diagnosed her with a brain concussion. Two days the child spent in intensive care, she got drops. In a week the girl began to squint her eyes and she was hiding from light. The mother considered these symptoms strange and she insisted on additional consultations. After ophthalmologist, neurosurgeon examinations and MRI scan, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. It was hard, but the child could get on her feet, though, and have repeatedly returned to neurosurgery for a shunt revision. Also Victoria was removed appendicitis inflammation. There were rehabilitation and then a month and a half of coma. But even after that, the girl was able to return to the basic treatment: 8 courses of chemotherapy and 2 radiation therapy and then another 4 courses of maintenance therapy. And, it would seem that the disease is overcome. And two months later her mother noticed that Victoria’s right half of the face is not similar the left one. In September 2016 she was diagnosed with a relapse.

In the Regional Children Clinic Hospital the child had 4 courses of chemotherapy. Then again she went to Kiev, later doctors discharged Victoria home to take tablet medication. But next tests proved the treatment had not worked. So the girl returned to the hospital to renew chemotherapy and expensive supportive medicaments. Victoria doesn’t give up, she's strong, she's already so much has passed, therefore we ask for your support on her road to recovery. She needs to win cancer.
