Date of birth: 22.02.2010. Diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia

Immediately after his birth, Artem scared his family very much. In the first days of his life, the boy was referred for ultrasound examination of the heart and the head. It was diagnosed he had a 2.5 mm diameter hole in his heart and advanced liver. However, doctors are assured that everything would normalize during a year. It really happened so after taking a course of vitamins. Except this case, he has never been at hospital, because he has never gotten sick.

Artem is a quiet and polite boy. He always does what he is asked. Likes to watch cartoons, to draw, to assemble the blocks. But most of all he loves to play with his little sister.

Recently his lymph nodes became increased, his back started to hurt. The boy stopped to enjoy life, became sluggish and sleepy. He was taken to the hospital, examined, and there... was a very low level of hemoglobin, platelets in the blood, the cancer cells appeared. The boy's condition was critical and he was taken to the resuscitation unit. Two days later was transferred to the OncoHematology Department with a diagnosis of acute leukemia.

Thank God, the treatment is passing normally; there were no side effects and adverse reaction to the medicaments. But when his level of platelets falls, parents have to find donor. And Artem has rare blood group +AB. So, they have to buy blood. But where his mother can get money, if mom has no nerve cells because of her son illness?

The boy takes droppers every day. His family almost has no money, but there is younger daughter, which cannot be explained that the food will be less, because family needs to treat her brother. Rerych family asks for help. The boy has chance to recover, but we need your financial support.

Creative Thursday in Children’s OncoHematology Department

Every time when volunteers of the CF “You are an Angel” visit children in the oncology department, they try to be as original, creative, and interesting as possible for small patients. Art therapist Maria Pazyniuk of the foundation always helps them in this. To make creative classes versatile and unique, to interest the children's audience, the art therapist invited her female students to a traditional Thursday creative class.

Charity Foundation “You are an Angel” and Philip Morris International Company: cooperation continues

The “You are an Angel” charitable foundation and the Philip Morris International company have signed a contract for the second time for the foundation to receive a grant for the development of the “House of an Angel” children's town located in Goshiv in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. We would like to remind you that in March 2022, the CF “You are an Angel” received the first tranche of funds in the amount of USD 76,000, which were allocated by the Philip Morris company as part of the charitable corporate project “Projects with a heart”.
