Date of birth: September 17, 2009. Diagnosis: Neuroblastoma of retroperitoneal space

Seven year old Anna has never gotten seriously illness; she was vaccinated, so she was not disease-prone. Doctors diagnosed she was healthy she has gone to school. And suddenly at school she began to vomit. Anna’s mother thought it was feed poisoning, doctors from Kalush hospital also assumed it. The prescribed medicaments and Anna was getting treatment for all week. But Anna’s mother still felt something was wrong. It seemed to her girl’s belly grew, so she decided to get an ultrasound test. After test, the girl was prescribed the medicaments because of enlarged lymph nodes. But girl’s belly grew bigger and bigger. The child again began to vomit. So the family had decided to go to the regional center. Doctors immediately diagnosed with retroperitoneal space tumor. The biopsy confirmed it: she has a malignant tumor – neuroblastoma.

The first course of chemotherapy girl has gone through, she is very weak now, and her body was not ready for such an aggressive medication. But mom is not ready too: there is no money. She has three children. Single mother has 2 more kids, aged 11 and 5 years. Nobody can help the family. And Anna has 5 further courses of chemo therapy.

Christmas Eve and Epiphany were celebrated for the first time in the “House of an Angel”

Creative Thursday in Children’s OncoHematology Department

Every time when volunteers of the CF “You are an Angel” visit children in the oncology department, they try to be as original, creative, and interesting as possible for small patients. Art therapist Maria Pazyniuk of the foundation always helps them in this. To make creative classes versatile and unique, to interest the children's audience, the art therapist invited her female students to a traditional Thursday creative class.

Charity Foundation “You are an Angel” and Philip Morris International Company: cooperation continues

The “You are an Angel” charitable foundation and the Philip Morris International company have signed a contract for the second time for the foundation to receive a grant for the development of the “House of an Angel” children's town located in Goshiv in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. We would like to remind you that in March 2022, the CF “You are an Angel” received the first tranche of funds in the amount of USD 76,000, which were allocated by the Philip Morris company as part of the charitable corporate project “Projects with a heart”.
