Vasyl learned what reanimation was just after the birth - he could not breath by himself and was able to do it only on the fifth day of his life.Vasyl from his birth learned what is reanimation. Then he had problems with health everytime, what`s more, the boy was diagnosed with Cystic fibrosis one and ф half year ago. It is a genetic disease, which is characterized by the creation of viscous mucus.The child cannot cough up the phlegm, it remains in lungs and create the best condition for infections, which can ruin respiratory tract. The food is not digested and the boy gains weight, he also has a vitamin deficiency.

The disease is now stronger. Vasyl is only 7 years old, but six organs has already badly wounded: he has a cyst of left kidney, so there is ф need to excise it in due course, and a nose polypus. The child is taken a cure in a Lviv specialized centre of treating Cystic fibrosis (two times per year he has a treatment couкse). He takes a lot of medication every day, including “Kreon”, which he should take all his life. The government provided patients with this medication some years ago. However, this governmental program is not working now and we need to buy this medicine by ourselves. 6 000 UAH – is a one-month payment for “Kreon” treatment.

His mom is not working now and his father doesn`t have a stable workplace and the family have no money for medicine. If the boy stops taking it, his state of health worsens in a flash. However, Vasyl tries to be happy, even if he feels bad – he ride a bicycle as his classmates, plays football and enjoy every day. Vasyl doesn`t even know, that parents don`t have money for his treatment.

Creative Thursday in Children’s OncoHematology Department

Every time when volunteers of the CF “You are an Angel” visit children in the oncology department, they try to be as original, creative, and interesting as possible for small patients. Art therapist Maria Pazyniuk of the foundation always helps them in this. To make creative classes versatile and unique, to interest the children's audience, the art therapist invited her female students to a traditional Thursday creative class.

Charity Foundation “You are an Angel” and Philip Morris International Company: cooperation continues

The “You are an Angel” charitable foundation and the Philip Morris International company have signed a contract for the second time for the foundation to receive a grant for the development of the “House of an Angel” children's town located in Goshiv in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. We would like to remind you that in March 2022, the CF “You are an Angel” received the first tranche of funds in the amount of USD 76,000, which were allocated by the Philip Morris company as part of the charitable corporate project “Projects with a heart”.
