Date of Birth: 21.09.2010 Diagnosis: nephroblastoma of both kidneys

Little Iliya was born on this mother’s birthday. It seemed that it was hard to create a better gift! But a little one was born prematurely (on week 34) and was struggling for living from the very first minutes of his life. The whole month he spent in the intensive care department for prematurely born babies of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Child Clinic Hospital. The doctors made bad prognosis, as they defined a lot of unfavorable diagnoses, such as heavy central nervous system damage, hypoxy-ischemic syndrome of heavy stage and a few other pathologies. But Iliya managed to overcome everything and became fully healthy child. And a very clever child!

But the happiness of his parents didn’t last long. When Iliya was 2 years 8 months old, suddenly his body temperature rose drastically and remained high during 5 days. As his parents knew that before the boy wasn’t ill, this put them on alert and they decided to make ultra-sonic investigation for their son in the hospital. The news that there’s a huge tumor in their son’s kidney, was a great shock for them. Since then their life became a nightmare. They made several investigations and doctors revealed that both kidneys are damaged. Specialists from Kiev Cancer Institute confirmed that the tumor is malignant, and the child needs to get a long and heavy treatment with diagnosis bilateral nephroblastoma.

Now little Iliya is in onco-hematology unit of Regional Child Clinic Hospital, he gets chemotherapy which is coming before the operation. His parents don’t have money to pay for the treatment, and treatment of this disease is very expensive! The parents hope that with God’s help and help of everyone of us Iliya will go through this heavy treatment, recover and will live life full of joy waiting for a happy future!

Christmas Eve and Epiphany were celebrated for the first time in the “House of an Angel”

For the first time in the history of the Children’s Town, the celebration of the Generous Evening and Epiphany took place. Creative Thursday in Children’s OncoHematology Department

Every time when volunteers of the CF “You are an Angel” visit children in the oncology department, they try to be as original, creative, and interesting as possible for small patients. Art therapist Maria Pazyniuk of the foundation always helps them in this. To make creative classes versatile and unique, to interest the children's audience, the art therapist invited her female students to a traditional Thursday creative class.

Charity Foundation “You are an Angel” and Philip Morris International Company: cooperation continues

The “You are an Angel” charitable foundation and the Philip Morris International company have signed a contract for the second time for the foundation to receive a grant for the development of the “House of an Angel” children's town located in Goshiv in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. We would like to remind you that in March 2022, the CF “You are an Angel” received the first tranche of funds in the amount of USD 76,000, which were allocated by the Philip Morris company as part of the charitable corporate project “Projects with a heart”.
