Date of birth: July 07, 1995. Diagnosis - lymphogranulomatosis.

 

During a physical at school, doctors noticed spots on Ivanna’s lungs, but they did not explain what that could be and refused to refer the girl to see a specialist.

 


At that time,  Ivanna always had fever and dry coughing.  ESR was high, and of hemoglobin was low.  The girl was getting worse every day.
Ivanna’s parents took her to the regional hospital for a more extensive examination, and Ivanna was diagnosed with lymphogranulomatosis.


In tenth grade Ivanna did not attend school. She studied at home and took tests. She had a dream to apply for a pre-med program in college, but she will not be able to do it because of her disease. Currently, Ivanna is undergoing treatment at the Children’s Hospital.
 

 

Mom’s letter: “ Ivanna knew about her scary diagnosis from the very beginning. She read a lot of medical articles while preparing for college. She worries a lot, and all our family is really upset. All the money that we saved, we spent on Ivanna’s treatment. Now we ran out of money, and we are no longer able to help our child. We want Ivanna to recover and to realize her dream to become a doctor. I think she would be such a wonderful doctor. We keep asking God to make Ivanna healthy again. We are grateful from the bottom of our heart for any help and support!”
