Date of birth: 10.11.2004. Diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma

Maksym – the first child in family. The boy has never caught a cold, viral diseases. Doctors removed him adenoids two years ago. From that time the boy had no worries. The child attends gymnasia-school № 3 in Ivano-Frankivsk. He makes progress in math. He took part in International Mathematical Competition «Kangaroo» in 2013.

His right thigh began to hurt in August previous year. The boy completed course of massages, however pain did not go away, moreover he had walking deterioration. After examination in hospital doctors suspected, that he had malignant neoplasm in a bone. Then they did an operation-trepan biopsy of thigh. The diagnosis was inconsolable – Ewing`s sarcoma. The boy is hospitalized in the Department of Oncohematology since February.

Maksym has already had two chemotherapy blocks. Treatment is serious enough, nevertheless, the child doesn`t stop studying, especially math. He has a dream to become a footballer. He is sure, that he will go through the disease. Though he has in his thoughts another dream-profession – oncologist. On our question why he chooses such job, he answers, that he wants to save children`s lives as well as the doctor is saving his.

He believes in God and knows many prayers, he likes to visit Church. He believes, that prayer to God will help him to conquer this disease. He also knows, that people wont leave him in the lurch. His life is in YOUR hands.

Christmas Eve and Epiphany were celebrated for the first time in the “House of an Angel”

Creative Thursday in Children’s OncoHematology Department

Every time when volunteers of the CF “You are an Angel” visit children in the oncology department, they try to be as original, creative, and interesting as possible for small patients. Art therapist Maria Pazyniuk of the foundation always helps them in this. To make creative classes versatile and unique, to interest the children's audience, the art therapist invited her female students to a traditional Thursday creative class.

Charity Foundation “You are an Angel” and Philip Morris International Company: cooperation continues

The “You are an Angel” charitable foundation and the Philip Morris International company have signed a contract for the second time for the foundation to receive a grant for the development of the “House of an Angel” children's town located in Goshiv in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. We would like to remind you that in March 2022, the CF “You are an Angel” received the first tranche of funds in the amount of USD 76,000, which were allocated by the Philip Morris company as part of the charitable corporate project “Projects with a heart”.
