16 years old - acute leukemia
 
My son’s name is Bogdan. He is 16 years old. November 12, 2010 he got a fever. When we took Bogdan to the hospital, the doctor told us that it did not look like a common cold.

Bogdan started taking antibiotics, but the fever remained in the range 37.5 to 38.9. December 4, 2010 red dots appeared on his legs,  we saw few hemorrhages in his mouth, and the fever did not go down lower than 38.6. We went back to doctor’s office, and we were referred to the infectious disease hospital.  It was not an infection, and the doctors recommended us to go to the Regional Children’s Hospital. All tests were done again, and unexpectedly the diagnosis was acute leukemia. This type of leukemia is rare; the doctors at the hospital have seen  it only once before.
My son is at the hospital now. The fever still does not go down, and he has headaches. Doctors do not allow him to walk to avoid bleedings. 
Bogdan is a very good son. Unfortunately, my husband and I do not have money to treat his disease. I ask you to help us to pay for the medical treatment of our dear son.
