Just like ten years ago, kids and caregivers from the Ivano-Frankivsk orphanage like to gather in front of the TV set, watch various TV programs and the news, and exchange thoughts about what they have seen. But unfortunately, these devices don’t last forever, and their only TV set has run its course. It doesn’t seem like there is much of a problem, right? Just buy another one and that will be that. However, this institution’s available finances are very limited and the orphanage is simply unable to buy a TV on its own.

“Television” is derived from Latin and means ”to see far“. In the past, the whole family and even sometimes neighbors would gather to watch the news and interesting programs! Along with technological developments, a decrease in the price of household appliances, and the creation of new mobile devices, the necessity of a TV has considerably decreased; never the less, even nowadays after coming home, we unintentionally turn on this technological wonder to stay informed about important news or to entertain ourselves.

Summer is coming. It is warm outside and it is better for the kids from the orphanage to spend their time playing outdoors or reading books. Still, a usual part of their life will be lost – mutual gatherings, which so closely resemble family evenings. Remember how you yourself waited as a kid for the evening cartoons before bed time! Even if the absence of a TV is not so noticeable now, it will be in the autumn and winter. Some of the educators are always present while the kids watch TV programs and films, thus there is no need to worry that they might watch programs which are bad for their psychological wellbeing.

Do not begrudge the little money needed to give the orphans their old friend, television. Help us cheer up these curious little wonders and gather them all together again in the evening for their favorite TV programs!

Christmas Eve and Epiphany were celebrated for the first time in the “House of an Angel”

For the first time in the history of the Children’s Town, the celebration of the Generous Evening and Epiphany took place. These events were accompanied by the best family traditions of the Ukrainian people. This time, the guests of the “House of an Angel” were pupils of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children.

CF “You are an Angel” got the five stars rating in the National rating “Charity Compass of Ukraine”

The "Ty-Angel" charity foundation received five stars in the “Charity Compass of Ukraine” and was awarded the corresponding certificate. The “Charity Compass of Ukraine” nominee certificate is a document addressed to charitable organizations that are interested in confirming compliance with their transparent and honest activities, tax-reporting requirements, and compliance with international standards in the implementation of charitable activities.

Creative Thursday in Children’s OncoHematology Department

Every time when volunteers of the CF “You are an Angel” visit children in the oncology department, they try to be as original, creative, and interesting as possible for small patients. Art therapist Maria Pazyniuk of the foundation always helps them in this. To make creative classes versatile and unique, to interest the children's audience, the art therapist invited her female students to a traditional Thursday creative class.

ATTENTION! The details of the charity foundations accounts have been changed

Dear friends, We would like to ask you to draw your attention to the change in the bank details of CF “You are an Angel”. These changes took place within the framework of the JSC CB “PrivatBank” banking service optimization. The bank has changed the bank account details of legal entities; accordingly, our account in national currency, as well as accounts in foreign currency – US dollars and euros. These changes entered into force on September 17, 2022.

Charity Foundation “You are an Angel” and Philip Morris International Company: cooperation continues

The “You are an Angel” charitable foundation and the Philip Morris International company have signed a contract for the second time for the foundation to receive a grant for the development of the “House of an Angel” children's town located in Goshiv in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. We would like to remind you that in March 2022, the CF “You are an Angel” received the first tranche of funds in the amount of USD 76,000, which were allocated by the Philip Morris company as part of the charitable corporate project “Projects with a heart”.
