The seminar “Primary diagnostics of oncological diseases among children”

The level of children’s death, firstly, depends on primary care diagnostics: the earlier doctors make the proper diagnosis, the higher chance is to save the child`s life. The seminar for pediatricians and oncologists was held on July, 25 by initiative of CF “You-Angel”. The topic of the seminar was “Foresee the trouble”. More than 30 physicians from Ivano-Frankivsk and Dolyna took part in the event. Tsymbaliuk-Voloshyn Iryna Petrivna, a Chief Pediatric oncologist, Ph. D. in Medicine and Head of The Haematological Department in Western Ukrainian Specialized Children`s Centre (Lviv), told about major problems, which doctors face during the diagnostic and the way to solve them.

 
 
 

The seminar was held in Hoshiv village in a Monastery of Sisters of the Holy Family. We thank them for their support in organization of this event, because, except the work in a conference-hall, the excursion around the Monastery was organized. This seminar began from the prayer to Saint Mary, we thank Father Vikentii from Hoshiv Monastery for that. We also express our gratitude to partners of the event – “SINT – Maister”, “Kinderboom”, “Univest-PrePress”, our volunteer from USA Yaroslav Dubenko and colleagues from All-Ukrainian Charitable Foundation “Zaporuka” for active collaboration in informational campaign “Forsee the trouble”.

 
 

The participants of the seminar discussed not only the question of first signs and symptoms of cancer, but also cooperation with parents, NGO`s and government, as most governmental programs and projects aimed not at solving the problems of first cancer symptoms, but at overcoming consequences, which appear because of cancer determination at the latest stages. We should remember that timely diagnostic of CANCER will save a life!
