CF “Ty Anhel” took part in the third meeting of regional partners, that took place in Kyiv on 23-24 April. The purpose of the meeting – the analyses of our deeds within the Campaign “Let`s open the door for children” in 2014 and planning of future activity in 2015.
The trip to the Makariv (village), which is not far from Kyiv, was one of the most important moments of the event. The Centre of Social Support for Children and Families “Promin Nadii” (The beam of Hope) functions there. This Centre, by the way, was built within the Campaign “Let`s open the door for children”. This Centre is a unique example of a place, where children, who stay in difficult life `s conditions, are taken care of. Such kind of Centers are alternative types for orphanages, children`s homes etc.
The main aim of the Centre – to save the family, to prevent the separation of children with their families and to create such conditions, with the help of which the child won`t be sent into the orphanage, but will be`protected and supported in the community
The Campaign “Let`s open the door for children” is run on the EU level in 12 countries, including Ukraine. The Campaign calls EU and governments for transformation of systems for childcare like orphanages to systems, which will protect families and educate, train children. This only can be possible with the process of De-institutionalisation of Children`s Services.

Evelyna Gladiy
Evelina has almost turned her five yet. The life story of this cute girl started in April 2016. Evelina is an early bird who came in life too early from her mother's tummy. The six-month-old baby of 870 mm weight and 35 cm height frightened the doctors of the maternity hospital. No one knew what would happen to the baby; whether would she cope with this and whether would she be able to live a full life in the future.
