Orthopedic Bike and A Chance to Recover

We have good news because we have an orthopedic bike, or we’d better say that the children that need it have it now and because of that they have a chance to recover. Victoria and Mykola Sanduliak are special needs kids. They are ten and eight years old and they suffer from cerebral palsy. Victoria’s case is complicated, and Mykola has also hydrocephalus. Their mom is not working because the kids need constant supervision, and their father abandoned the family. The only source of income for them is a disability pension.
 
While undergoing treatment in Ivano-Frankivsk Rehabilitation Center, the children used an orthopedic bike. After the special exercises, they felt better. Victoria started doing first steps by herself. According to doctors, the orthopedic bike can help the children to learn to walk, but they have to  exercise consistently.  The bike is very expensive for the family: it costs almost 2,000UAH. 
 
 
It is good that we have friends who responded to our newsletter. Thanks to our volunteer Victoria and her husband Michael, we could buy the bike. Thanks to our volunteer Julia Liahovich and her husband, the bike was already delivered to kids’ house. Now we just need to believe that the efforts of Victoria and Mykola will be successful.
