The “You are an Angel” Charitable Foundation organizes a weeklong vacation for orphans every year. This time the participants of the camp “A Small Angel–2021” were children from the Interregional Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of the village of Medinya, Ivano-Frankivsk district.

 

During the week, the children rested on the territory of the residence of the President of Ukraine “Sinogora” in Guta village, Bohorodchany district. Every morning they started with moving exercises and had four meals a day. During this short time, the children went to the mountains, visited the Maly Kuzminets waterfall in Stara Guta and the Manyava waterfall. Our small angels also visited Bukovel, bought in swimming pools, jacuzzis, saunas, vats… In addition, they immersed themselves in the wonderful world of dinosaurs in “Dinopark”, were in the “Inverted House” and had a good time on the “Pepper” meadow.

There were also scientific and educational activities. Children from the village Medynia was shown how to make a birdhouse, told about biodiversity, the history of Guta; the participants of the camp drew landscapes of the village where they live, as well as cleaned the territory of the lake in Guta. These events were part of the Carpathian Forest Schools project.

The excursion to the closed territory of the dacha of the President of Ukraine gave many emotions – the children saw a chic house, a hut, ponds, tennis courts and much more. In addition, they visited the highest airfield in Ukraine in Lukvytsia village, which was founded by aviator Stepan Krasilych. The children sailed in boats, helped the paraglider to build a parachute, and the plane did various tricks in the air for the children.

 

A pleasant memory will be the celebration of Ivan Kupala, which was organized for us by the staff of the residence “Sinogora”. The children were specially entertained by the famous band “Sinogora”, the children were fried sausages, and then organized a cool party at the disco bar.

 

The holiday seemed very interesting and emotional. We have many people we want to thank from the bottom of our hearts. We thank the general director of the Sinogora residence Mykhailo Kucher, the hotel manager Anna Yakovlyuk, the fitness trainer Lyudmila Havrysh, the musician Sviatoslav Klimkiv, all the chefs and administrators of the residence – you made a great effort to make our camp pass!

 

“Everything was wonderful! Our angels did not want to leave this picturesque place! Therefore, we are considering the option to come to Sinogora again! We are building our own house in Goshiv village, where children will also have a rest. The framework has already been assembled, so if we manage to raise funds quickly, next year we will have a rest with the children in our own home – “House of an Angel”, – said the director of the Charitable Foundation “You are an Angel” Vitaliy Saban.
