There were unusual guests in Dolyna orphanage "Warm Home". They were patrol police officers from Ivano-Frankivsk. The visit took place in the frame of an educational project "School of a Small Angel" by CF "You are an Angel". We wanted to break down stereotypes and to convince our wards kids that the police is not the same as it was before, no need to be afraid of policemen, and Vice versa, - they are the people who can defend. 

 

The young officers told the children about the new police, introduced with their work and demonstrated their equipment. Children experienced communications and tried on the armor. Oh, there were so many emotions! Boys and girls asked a lot of questions, they were interested in everything – and policemen answered informatively. Together with children they repeated road movement rules and had practical exercises. Very soon the "Warm Home” wards will go to Ivano-Frankivsk to visit the Main Department of patrol police of the city, where they were invited their patrol.

We are sincerely grateful to our new friends – patrol Tamile Kulpa, Alexandra Babetsky and Anton Boev for the valuable meeting. Sure, after a meeting with the inspectors, some of the children will desire to join patrol policemen in future.

 

Similar meetings will be held in Dolyna boarding school and Vygoda training and rehabilitation centre. We’d like to recall that all this happened in the framework of the "School of a Small Angel" project. This project aims to broaden the horizons of children through trainings and seminars; this is not the usual lessons, but informal meetings and workshops, which are very loved by our kids.
