CF “Ty-Anhel” held a seminar for doctors (Video)

Early cancer detection – the chance of recovery. A seminar “Let`s prevent the trouble!” was held in Ivano-Frankivsk within information campaign for detection of cancer among children. This seminar is traditional. CF “Ty-Anhel” has held it the third consecutive year. 

 

“The child was ill – it would be better to make a computer tomography, but the mother, being a doctor, was with the child in many different cities to do unnecessary lab tests, while a tumour in the lag had progressed. As a result – amputation of the leg, then the child`s death”, - an oncologist, Yurii Tomashchuk says. 

 
 

By the way, child`s oncology in a region has dramatically increased. 3 843 children were diagnosed with cancer during the last year.

 

Doctors admit the importance of early cancer detection. Thus, this seminar aimed at improving doctors` knowledge, especially pediatricians to diagnose the disease as soon as possible. Leading experts from Oncohematology Department of Ivano-Frankivsk Children`s Hospital – Alla Ivanenko, Yurii Tomashchuk, Zoriana Vovk, Liudmyla Melnychuk, Tetiana Shatynska, Oksana Krysa and Ivanna Protsiuk – shared their expertise. Thank them for their work.
