Every year on June 1, we celebrate the International Children’s Day, a wonderful holiday filled with joy, hope, and happiness. Children are very precious for all of us. They are our joy and our future. In the department of hematology, the holiday was celebrated a little bit later, on Friday June 7.

We prepared a surprise for the children and invited a clown Nadia Kostiovych and a face painting artist Nataliya. The celebration began with a clown’s performance and all the children were watching it with interest. Later we had funny contests for kids and their parents.  Both children and adults were dancing and cheering for one another.

The children also liked face painting: in a couple of minutes the artist made drawing of flowers, butterflies, and cartoon characters on kids’ faces and hands.

At the end of the event, the children received gifts, such as balloons, books, toys, fruits and candy.  Some gifts were delivered to the wards where children were receiving chemo and could not attend the celebration.

We are truly happy that the children did not want to say good bye to us, and all of them were happy.
We thanks all the partners who made this event possible. Such celebrations bring happiness, love, and joy to all the kids.
