Today is International Childhood Cancer Days

Every year 11-12 cases of cancer occur among 100 thousand child population. This is approximately 1000 children with cancer per year. Children oncology is one of the most painful problems of our society. Unfortunately, cancer is diagnosed in the last stages in most cases. 
 
The diagnostics of tumours in childhood is very difficult due to the number of reasons: comparatively rare tumour cases in children with adult patients, absence of cancer precaution among pediatricians, and, often, ignorance the signs of the disease, which causes late diagnostics.
 
But diagnose is not a verdict, because child oncology differs from adult oncology. It is easier to treat a child with cancer. In many cases, it also depends on parents`attention to health of their children and regular prophylactic examinations. Experts are sure, that the first step to reduce child mortality due to cancer, is an urgent appeal to the doctors. The lives of thousand of children depend on this. 
 
Nowadays, state support of treatment programs is not enough, thus, burden is placed on parents and benefactors.
