Roman Zinkevich is diagnosed with cerebral palsy. He is 17 years old, and he cannot walk. The boy needs your help in paying for the treatment. By January 10, he needs to pay 22,107UAH ($2,763) for the full course of treatment. Please help me.

We would like to share with you a letter that Roman wrote about how he was going to celebrate the holidays. He has cerebral palsy, but the diagnosis does not impede him from writing with style.

"From my early childhood, St Nickolas day was my favorite holiday. Miracles happened during the night between December 18 and 19.  I wanted to fall asleep as fast as possible and in the morning to feel the gifts under my pillow. Every year, the gifts were different. At first, they were toys, later I received encyclopedias and books. From the early childhood, I wrote letters to St Nicholas and I left them on the windowsill. My greatest wish was always to have the ability to walk. I always wanted to walk to school like all other children. Now I am 17, and St Nick brought me candy, oranges, and bananas.

I am going to celebrate New Year and Christmas with my father. Our main dish is the salad with crab meat. Before New Year we put the Christmas tree and we decorate our house. For the four years my dad and I celebrate the holidays together. We both want that I could walk.

On Christmas Eve my father and I have dinner. Our main dish is kutia. My father takes time to cook it and I am sitting next to the window and wait for the first star to appear in the sky. After dinner, people come and sing Christmas carols and we listen to them."

We would like to add that Roman wants to become a computer programmer. He diligently does all the exercises that his doctor recommends, and he believes that in 2014 his dream to walk will come true.
