The volunteers of the charitable foundation “Ty Anhel” visited the children from Ivano-Frankivsk Shelter again. We did not expect the visit to be so warm. When the kids saw us, they rushed to hug and kiss us. It is difficult to express the feeling when you stand next to the kids and you understand that they need you, and yet just very short time ago you did not know they exist.

We did not just come to visit; we came as friends. We unpacked together the boxes with clothes and shoes. Kids tried everything on, put aside what was good for them, and passed on other clothes. Everybody picked several pieces of clothes. It was a joy to see their happy faces; we understood that they were happy not because they received something, but because somebody cared for them.

These children stay in the shelter up to three months. If during this time they do not return to their families or the social services are not able to place them in foster families, they are transferred to a different orphanage.

We met most of the children when we first visited the shelter. Marichka grew up a lot, and now she is thinking often about her future. Her father is in prison, and her mother is a construction worker. It looks like somebody bit her on her chick, and when we asked what happened, she answered calmly that another little girl was playing with her and accidentally bit her. Rostik looks like an angel, but for some reason, he always wanted to push or scare someone. Serghey is the youngest; he was crawling into the boxes, and then he was jumping out and laughing. It was interesting to see how our volunteer Vitaly got surrounded by girls, and he was asking them what music did they like and what they liked to do. Lesia, eight-year-old girl, impressed us a lot. She is leaving the shelter in two days... ..,......
