Polymer Clay in the Hands of Young Artists
2013 11 24 Views: 1360

We would like to tell you about an art-therapy class that was conducted by Vika Marushenko, Stephanik University student. According to psychologists, working with clay reveals character and emotions, and helps to express thoughts.

Out of all types of clay, we picked polymer because this type of clay was least known to kids. It does not dry and we do not need to add water to work with it. it is similar to play dough. After the work of art is ready, it needs to dry in the oven just like baked goods and it is unusual for the children. Vika has a lot of experience working with this type of clay, and she explained to the children how they need to work with it.
We made bows, and they look beautiful. Creating them brought a lot of joy and positive emotions.

Evelina has almost turned her five yet. The life story of this cute girl started in April 2016. Evelina is an early bird who came in life too early from her mother's tummy. The six-month-old baby of 870 mm weight and 35 cm height frightened the doctors of the maternity hospital. No one knew what would happen to the baby; whether would she cope with this and whether would she be able to live a full life in the future.
