Mykola Fizik bravely resists the disease. For several months he is battling the acute leukemia, and the doctors do all they can to cure him.

Mykola is half way through the third protocol. For a while it seemed that the worst is in the past and the boy’s condition is stable. The family wanted to forget about the pain and tears that they could not control when they were looking at the boy. And now, Mykola has problems again. Because of the chemotherapy, the boy is weak; for over a week he has high fever, nausea, headaches, rashes all over his body, and swollen legs.

In spite of all these symptoms, Mykola is courageous, and he does everything that the doctors are telling him to do. He hopes that he will celebrate his 15th birthday at home.

The boy dreams to go to school and to see his friends. And he really wants warm and sunny weather, so that the doctors let him go outside. We believe that all Mykola’s dreams come true, and all the prayers to God and the doctors’ skills will speed up the long treatment.

Vladyslav Bondaruk's treatment is long and complicated. The boy has just finished M-protocol. Unfortunately, his tests are worse than expected.

Now Vladyslav is taking a break. On top of the main diagnosis, Vladyslav is being treated for Hepatitis C that he contracted during the leukemia treatment.

Vladislav is taking antibiotics. He is coughing badly. Now is the time to begin the last protocol, but the doctors postpone the treatment because of the boy’s coughing and his condition in general.

It is hard for the boy to fight all that, yet he remains brave. His mom and our foundation thank everybody who supports Vladyslav in this tough situation. We hope that he will win the battle with the disease, and soon he will be smiling and giving joy to his parents and everybody who cares for him..
