The decision of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Council to liquidate the regional center for social support of children and families “Warm House” will be canceled. This is the position and recommendation of the temporary investigative commission (TIC) of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to investigate violations of children's rights, which recently held a field meeting in Prykarpattia.

 

Members of the commission recorded gross violations of children's rights. On April 2, 2021, after a meeting of the TIC in the regional state administration, the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration Andriy Boychuk signed then order “On preventing the liquidation of the “Warm House“ institution”. He has initiated an official investigation to find out who and under what circumstances was preparing the decision to liquidate the”Warm House”and transfer children to institutions of a much lower level of quality of social services and care.

 

“Now the most important thing is the interests of children. Therefore, we are urgently preparing a draft decision to stop the liquidation of the “Warm House” and submit it to the regional council. We will also address the issue of proper funding for the institution this year,” said Andriy Boychuk.
