Children drew with their fingers at the art therapy session

Unusual art-therapeutic classes passed recently in the OncoHematology Department. Children drew with their fingers at this class: viburnum, leaves, and flowers. “It was very interesting and fun, because one could get dirty with rainbow colors and no adult scolded for it. The finger-drawing technique perfectly develops fine motor skills and tactile sensations of a child, helps to relax - this is exactly what our children need”, explains the art-therapist of the CF “You are an Angel” Maria Pazyniuk. 
 
 
 
Drawing with fingers has many advantages. Psychologists even write about it. The strengths of the method are:
• no movement restrictions;
• no cultural influence;
• no social pressure;
• no problems of equivalent forms.
 
Finger drawing is a permitted dirt game. The child, unbeknownst to himself/herself, can decide on actions that he/she usually does not do because he/she is afraid, unwilling or does not consider it possible to break the rules.
 
The CF “You are an Angel” cares not only about the good mood of children, but also about their development. Every week, our volunteers try to come up with new and exciting activities, and it works out for them.
