Michael Klapchuk is a third grader, and he wants to go to school. The first two years he was home-schooled.    Now when the weather permits and he is not in hospital, he can attend two or three classes. Teachers are happy with him, and he is happy to be able to go to school. The boy is knowledgeable about the history of Ukraine and other countries, and he also likes geography. If asked he likes to get a book a map as a gift. While in hospital, Michael learned how to use computer and now to efficiently use internet. Michael knows everybody who is undergoing treatment, and he is upset if somebody is feeling bad. He says that he is healthy, and he does not like to talk about his health condition.

At present Michael is taking Bioven –mono (one a month) and Peginterferon (every week). Peginterferon alone is 2,000UAH ($250)  per week. Parents have to pay for the medications, but they do not have the money. Yet Michael wants to get well and become a priest when he grows up. That is why every Sunday and on holidays he takes communion. We believe that with God’s help and with your support it is possible.  Michael thanks everybody and he says that he is grateful to God for living in this world.
