Matwiy is doing well now, he plays with his brother, understands everything. The child is generally healthy, gets a massage course. His diet is enriched with new products: vegetable soup, fruit juices or purees, low-protein pumpkin porridge and zucchini, various vegetables, fruits, olive oil. All new diet compounds are entered strictly in certain quantities, thus, not to exceed the daily intake of phenylalanine.
Every month Matwiy gets consultations in Lviv interregional medico-genetic centre of the state institution "Institute of hereditary pathology of National Medical Academy of Ukraine". This week he will be in the Lviv department of “Ohmatdyt” Hospital. Here he will have a tomogram scanning and other tests to have possibility to do in Ivano-Frankivsk due to the lack of equipment.
Parents thank you for your donation for Matviy and for your prayers. And we are confident that we will soon write good news of a boy to you.
Let’s remind you, Matviy is being observed by Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Children Hospital, Regional medical genetic centre and Lviv interregional medico-genetic centre of the state institution "Institute of hereditary pathology of National Medical Academy of Ukraine". The baby constantly is tested on phenylalanine in the blood. The daily supplement mix “Anamix infant” is necessary for phenylalanine elimination. Abnormal high phenylalanine level interferes with the normal development of the brain. If untreated, the child will be prone to mental retardation.
