Taras Grabchuk - our progress
2011 09 14 Views: 2432

It is the seventh day of the first chemotherapy session. Tomorrow we will be done with Topotecan, and we will begin Etoposide.
Taras often has fever 38.5, analyses are poor, the appetite is bad, and boy is tired and wants to be in bed. I had a dream last night that Taras is losing his hair, and in the morning, I checked if that is already happening.
It looks that chemo has a good result. During the last days, Taras is taking less painkillers, and today there was no need for that at all. Taras is not complaining of the pain any longer, and we hope that the tumor is not growing any more.
Taras is in the good mood. Thanks to the parishioners from Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church in Nuremberg, we have friends now that visit Taras every day, talk to him in the language that he understands, watch cartoons with him, and simply listen to his stories. And I have time to cook Taras’ favorite food and to read news online.
Thanks to all kind people, that do not abandon us in the time of need and help Taras to recover.

Evelyna Gladiy
Evelina has almost turned her five yet. The life story of this cute girl started in April 2016. Evelina is an early bird who came in life too early from her mother's tummy. The six-month-old baby of 870 mm weight and 35 cm height frightened the doctors of the maternity hospital. No one knew what would happen to the baby; whether would she cope with this and whether would she be able to live a full life in the future.
