Class on Painting Easter Eggs

Before the major Christian holiday of our Lord’s Resurrection at the department of hematology at Ivano-Frankivsk Children’s Hospital a Easter eggs class took place.  Two artists, Julia Sovtus and Julia Pauchek agreed to organize such class. They prepared all the necessary materials and some interesting facts about Easter, the origins of painting Easter eggs in Ukraine, the meaning of main colors and lines, and the Easter rituals. 
 
 
 
 
Almost 15 little patients from the department participated in the class. With great pleasure they listened to the instructors and did their best to decorate the eggs. All the children were diligent and their eggs looked great. Volodymir Oliynik and Vladyslav Bondarchiuk were the most active participants, and they did their work with great enthusiasm. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
We hoped that Nazar Kovalski could attend the class, but unfortunately, he could not do it because he had chemotherapy administered to him at that time. Yet, the boy was in good mood, and he became even happier when Konstantin Nazarenko brought him  an interesting gift. Now he has a portable game PSP Sony that will distract him from long and painful procedures and will make his days a little brighter. 
 
 
 
 
The team of the charitable foundation Ty Anhel is grateful to everybody who organized the class and helped the children to forget about the disease. Julia Sovtus and Julia Pauchek did a wonderful job, and all the kids liked it because it brought them a lot of joy.
The children have beautiful souvenirs that they made with their hands and pictures that will remind them about this day. Thanks to the photographer Yuri Grynkiv  for quality photographs. We also thank the company “Gonerie” for donating sweet treats for the children.
 
Easter eggs classes like this one will take place in Rogatyn orphanage and in Ivano-Frankivsk shelter. We need to make sure that all the children enjoy Easter in spite of their health conditions and social status .
