Letters to St. Nick

During an art-therapy class the children were writing letters. Whom do you think they were writing? Of course, to St Nick! Before the holiday, all the children tried to be their best because the saint promised to bring all they wanted.
Twenty children participated at the class. Nobody wanted big gifts; the kids were asking for health, toys, and sweet treats.
Here are some of the children’s wishes
• “Dear St. Nick, I want to see one day that all the children are healthy. And I want to travel.” Uliana Pylypiv
• “Dear St. Nick, first of all I want to ask you to give health to everybody in my family. If possible, I want candies and that is all.” Denis Gritsko
• “Dear St. Nick! I want you to visit me tomorrow. I am asking for health for my family, and I do not need anything else. I want everybody to be happy, and I want a watch.” Lesia Zhupnik

Some other kids were more specific in their wishes:
• “St. Nick, I want a crocodile”
• “Dear St. Nick! I am 16 years old and my name is Andriy. This year I will spend your holiday at the department of hematology. Visit me at the hospital and bring a TV to our hospital ward. It is so boring here. Please ask God to give me health. I want to recover and come to hospital only for a visit. I need a stand for my laptop and some sweets and fruit.” Andriy Seniv
• “Dear St. Nick! First of all I want to get well. And I want a girl turtle; I already have a boy turtle. I also want new ear rings and a necklace and new clothes. And I want a lot of sweets and clementines.” Vira Petrishak
Kids’ wishes seem to be different, and yet many are asking for the same things. Very soon we will try to make some of the wishes come true. The project will take place in Rogatyn. Our volunteer Zoriana Gotra who organized this project will distribute kids’ letters among the local parish members, and if they can they will buy the gifts that the kids are asking. Let’s help St. Nick to take care of all the children.

Evelyna Gladiy
Evelina has almost turned her five yet. The life story of this cute girl started in April 2016. Evelina is an early bird who came in life too early from her mother's tummy. The six-month-old baby of 870 mm weight and 35 cm height frightened the doctors of the maternity hospital. No one knew what would happen to the baby; whether would she cope with this and whether would she be able to live a full life in the future.
