Ivan Mikhailiv - The Treatment Continues

Ivan Mikhailiv has already had six chemotherapy blocks. After that the doctors prescribed him two stronger chemotherapy treatments, but it did not give any results. The tumor is several millimeters smaller, but it is not what the doctors were hoping for. On top of everything Ivan contracted Hepatitis C.
 
The treatment is hard on the boy. He is always complaining about pain, but in spite of it he hopes for a full recovery. He tries to forget about his disease and he tries not to tell him mom that he is in pain. He plays and he wants to go to school.
 
In Kiev, the doctors diligently studied Ivan’s medical history and the prescribed treatment and came to conclusion that the treatment does not give good results. They modified the treatment and Ivan will need chemo in pills for the next six months.  Ivan’s body is exhausted, and his mom is desperate.
