Easter is a holiday given us as a gift for loyalty to the good thoughts and deeds. "Be like children!" - Chist taught. And we, together with students of Rogatyn specialized boarding school, really sincerely like children, waited for that great day.

 

For the second time the Foundation “You're an angel" implemented an action "Easter basket" in the small town Rohatyn. The children of boarding school most of all waited for this holiday with understanding of the true meaning of Christ resurrection. Why? Because of it symbolizes the renewal of all their hopes and aspirations.

 

Preparation for the Easter Day begins to students long before the holiday, because they have to decorate baskets. And what is as heartwarming as hand made items? That is why children embroider Easter towels. They are extremely beautiful, often even art! It is hard to believe that these things were done by children’ hands. Cross stitches gently laid on the canvas and this way bright miracle was born. For children from the elementary school it was orange chickens, embroidered by seventh graders. But for high school students it was willow branch and spring primroses. When Easter cakes were consecrating near church, you could enjoy a variety of yarns, woven with heart and mind.

 

The celebration of soul- so, perhaps, can be named event, has happened to us in these days. It all started on the Palm Sunday. We, together with the pupils of Rogatyn boarding school, visited the local church to sanctify twigs of willow and spring flowers. And a week later, on Sunny Sunday morning, all pupils gathered again around the Church with beautifully decorated baskets with Easter cakes and colorful eggs.

 

This year, the baskets were especially rich due to funds collected with your help. CF "You're an angel" was able to increase their traditional content by the fruits loved by children. Wide smiles of boarding school pupils showed their sincere joy. They enjoyed the fact they could celebrate Easter like others.
