It’s our great pleasure that voyaging across 11 cities of Ukraine the traveling exhibition “Charity through Camera Lens” also visited Ivano-Frankivsk. The official opening of the display took place in the premises of Fortress Gallery “Bastion”.

The visitors of the gallery were very much impressed with these photographs. And these images proved: the charity could appear anywhere, and anyone could do it. Besides, this noble affair is successfully developing in all parts of our country. And the photos sent from far away and close cities prove this fact. At the images one could see both children and elderly people with physical or mental diseases, and all this pictures had one small implication: a helpful hand of ordinary people.

– Nowadays we could hear very often the phrase: “I am not able to do charity, as I don’t have enough money, and I hardly scrape by myself”. The displayed exhibition breaks this stereotype and allows understanding of all peculiarities of the charity, making a special accent on the fact that even simple person with small income is able to do charity actions. And so, this is exactly what the “Charity through Camera Lens” teaches us. - Vitaly Saban, founder of the charity foundation “Ty Anhel”  tells.

One could spend hours in the gallery looking at 40 displayed images dedicated to charity, thoughtfully reading the comments and watching the heros’ emotions depicted at the photographs. Almost every person passing by the picture unconsciously stops in order to see the details of the photo, and besides to enjoy the high-qualitative work of the photographer. By the way, it was a great pleasure to see a photo named “Theater Play” by our compatriot Andriy  Nesterenko . The image was taken in Ivano-Frankivsk Music and Drama Theater and dedicated to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

– The photographs are very good; - a visitor shares her opinion with us. Every image is special in its own way. And it’s very hard to draw a parallel between them. Open smiles of children after hippo therapy, international tournament in skiing for disabled people and a girl having cancer who just dreamed about the photo session with a beautiful hair-do– these things are incompatible, but all of them are part of charity.

We would like to thank Ms. Iryna, the Art-manger, for the possibility to hold this traveling exhibition in “Bastion”. Also we would like to express our gratitude to the founder of the display- Ukrainian Philanthropists Forum and the partner network operator Life :)
