Saturday, August 16, was a wonderful day for the students from the Center of Social and Psychological Rehabilitation. Twenty children had to get up at 6AM, but it did not ruin their great mood. Everybody was happy and full of energy because a trip to Lviv was planned for that day.

The children who live in the center are street kids, social orphans,  and children that are in difficult circumstances. Most of them have never been outside Ivano-Frankivsk region and that is why the expectations to see something interesting were high.

Our first stop was at McDonald’s that gave our youngest  children a lot of joy. Children got happy meals and were curious to see what was inside the boxes. We notified McDonald’s staff about our visit in advance, and they did great job welcoming the kids. Thanks a lot to the administration and employees of McDonald’s that is located in Volodymir Velyky street.

The next stop was water park “Pliage” that is the biggest  in Western Ukraine. The children have never seen anything like this before and they were mesmerized. Two hours went by fast, but the children were not sad because we still had so many other things to do.

Lviv High Castle  is a place that many of us know and it is one of the most beautiful places in Lviv. We visited it and enjoyed the gorgeous panoramic views that it offers.

We visited Market Square and went to "Lviv Handmade Chocolate", "Lviv Coffee Mining Manufacture", Arsenal Museum.
We took the kids to look at the Opera Theater, fountains. The children liked to walk down the narrow streets of the old city and  hear  and see old trams.

A professional photographer from Ivano-Frankivsk Nataliya Yurchenko was with us all the time and she captured a lot of happy smiles on kids’ faces. We are happy that Nataliya agreed to come, and we will give to the rehabilitation center all the pictures that she made.

The time went by fast.

This trip was one of the best our foundation ever organized for the children. A lot of people contributed to its success.

Our friends from “Teply Dim” bought t-shirts with Ivano-Frankivsk emblem, VAB-Bank gave kids Ty Anhel caps, and the children really liked them.

Our volunteer from Russia Maria Beliaeva and our volunteer from Kiev Victoria Poliarush helped us to pay for water park. Rostislav Andrusiv and Vitaliy Voloshin paid for the transportation.
We thank Mc Donald’s for feeding the children, and we thank Petro Gudzel for organizing the trip.

We are very happy that we have such helpers, generous, open, and ready to support us. Because of you, we will see smiles on children’s faces.
