St. Nicholas Day at the Department of Hematology

Yesterday, on St. Nicholas Day, it was a true holiday for the children at the department of hematology as well as for us. It was a joy to see smiles on kids’ pale faces.
 
Remember that we began preparing for the holiday at the beginning of December when the children wrote letters to St. Nicholas during an art therapy class. We passed the letters to a catholic organization “Love and Charity” in Rogatyn. Father Dmytro Bigun agreed with great joy to help the children’s dreams come true.  
 
 
On December 19 we visited the hospital. The children were  impatiently waiting for St. Nicholas. We told them to go and practice their songs and poems, and we went to change. Young men from Ivano-Frankivsk seminary did great job. We had live music and singing. The devil wanted to steel kids’ presents, but the children did not let him. They yelled that they were good this year and did only good deeds. 
 
 
Everybody was excited to see the saint and get gifts. Everybody was eager to see what was wrapped inside. St Nicholas brought gifts to everybody. Even the children that were not feeling well and could not join the celebration received the gifts in their rooms.
 
 
The charitable foundation “Ty Anhel” thanks everybody who organized the event. Because of your help, we were able to touch hearts of the children.
