There are 231 cancer patients under medical surveillance in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
The Oncology and Hematology Department has been being operated at the Regional Children Clinical Hospital. Every year 560 children are diagnosed or treated here. Some of them are sent to Kiev for treatment, if there is not enough equipment. This information was reported at a press conference at the Regional Children Clinical Hospital.

RCCH doctors told that the state allocates funds to two drug purchase programs. Doctors also told ODCL that the state funds two medicament purchase programs. Oncology treatment is funded on request from regions. The local program gives you the opportunity to purchase childcare products.
"The medications ordered for 2016, we still continue to receive, and on the application for 2017 nothing has yet received. In general, we ordered for 8 millions" sayd Lina Matviyiv, chief doctor deputy. By local programs we received medications for UAH 150000, which made us possible to buy some supportive medicaments. In addition, we used UAH 600000 by redistribution from those regions where they were in excess. Charitable funds contributed totally UAH 350000".

As doctors say, if a family has an oncological illness, the parents must necessarily be examined before the second child planning. Over the past year, there were 250 sick children, treated at the OncoHematology Department, 200 of them are healthy now. If parent can – they send their child to Italy, Poland, and Belarus for transplantation, after which there is a great chance for recovery.

"The situation with equipment has improved – we bought linoimats, which count drops of chemotherapy, which increases the accuracy of the received doses of chemistry. We’d like to remind parents, that they should be attentive to their children, paying attention to the not essential symptoms: pallor, vulgarity, tearfulness, enlarged lymph nodes, pain in the limbs. This will help to detect disease earlier and increase the chances of recovery "- advised Lina Matviyah to complete.
Let’s remind you, that the Charity Foundation "Ty-Anhel" spent UAH 281393,34 during 2017 year for medical support of oncologic children undergoing treatment at the OncoHematology Department of the Regional Children Clinical Hospital.
